Experiential Learning at CIHE

This month, unit BUS205: Agile Project Management held a successful student events day where classrooms and the Pacific Highway library turned into a bright and colourful event. Led by their lecturer, Mr. Kshitiz Gautam, the students embarked on a journey that seamlessly integrated theoretical concepts with real-world execution.

Mr. Gautam, reflecting on the  experience, expressed his admiration for  student initiative and dedication. He remarked, “I was thoroughly impressed by the students at Crown Institute of Higher Education Agile Project Management class when they organised an on-campus event as part of their project. This provided them an excellent opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they had learned in class in a practical, real-world setting. I am grateful to everyone who has helped me refine my approach to teaching and lesson planning. I still have more to learn.”

"Witnessing our students' boundless creativity and dedication was an absolute blast. Proud to have been part of the action, supporting and cheering them on the way! Huge shoutout to Mr. Kshitiz Gautam for fuelling these opportunities, turning learning into lively experiences. I look forward to many more of these events in the future."

The Agile Project Management unit challenges students to navigate iterative processes and embrace feedback-driven improvements. By immersing themselves in hands-on assessments, students gain a deeper understanding of product/event development and the importance of continuous enhancement. Positive experiences like this underscore the transformative power of practical learning, equipping students with the skills and mindset needed for success in today’s dynamic world.

"I was quite surprised when students offered  refreshments to us. It was a nice gesture to see them willing to go out of their way to creatively think of methods to receive further feedback on their event." - Ms. Shital Shrestha

This successful day stands as a shining example of academic innovation and experiential learning at CIHE. As students continue to harness their creativity and adaptability, they emerge not only as adept project managers, but also as lifelong learners poised to make a meaningful impact in their respective fields.
